A post from the Girlie-girl's perspective:

When Danielle ignores my wishes and refuses to get the electric blanket out for me (dang it!) what else can I do but find a nice heating vent for my winter's nap?

on the heating vent

I chose this particular place, because I can also keep an eye on the bird feeder.

a view of the birdfeeder

Of course, you don't think She gained photographic evidence of my interest in the birds, now do you?

I mean really! One must keep one's cool when one has a reputation to maintain.

Of course all of that bother with the flash...

... you'd think one might be rewarded for sitting so patiently while photos are being taken.

You know, rewarded by Getting Out The Electric Blanket, please.

After all, She has her tea to keep her warm.

you have your tea to keep you warm

What's a girl to do?

in lieu of the electric blanket

Get settled in at another vent?

This one is just so awkward with that lamp and all.

Maybe I just wasn't Clear enough earlier. After all, the silly girl called me by HB's name. She must be Out Of It today.

Oh!

What's this?!

FInally.

happiness is an electric blanket

ohhhhhhhh... just purrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect.

warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm.

Girlie Girl, with all that work walking to each vents, you could put those googly eyes on Danielle like Puss N Boots on Shrek 2. She would get that blanket out for suuuure.

I do suppose the vent is a good idea, however, since you get to watch the birds. But you would think that she would get the blanket out and work by the vent by the birds, for extra comfort for you.

Hmph.

;)

Oh, sweet little Girlie-Girl, I'm so glad Danielle got the electric blanket out for you.

P.S. You look so pretty in those pics!

Amber, hmmmm.... I know just which pleading/innocent eyes you speak of. I had forgotten about that look, must try it soon.

And yes, you would think she would work in a position where I could be warm AND see the birds, don't you? She just doesn't listen. Thesis shmesis! silly thing. At least it is keeping her at home.

*basking in the glow of Ladybug saying I look pretty*

Thank you, thank you, dear Ladybug.

*preens*

Some think that beauty is easy, I say it is Work. Do you know how much of my day I spend keeping myself clean? It is a never-ending chore.

But, one must keep up appearances, you know. They never tell me when company will drop by, or when they will take my photo, so I am prepared At ALL Times.

"Be Prepared."

Contrary to popular belief, the boy scouts were not the first ones to declare that motto. It originated with felines.

Girlie-girl, you are so patient. Look how long it took you to get your electric blanket. And you had to put up with the photo shoot in the meantime.

Posted by: Squirl at December 9, 2005 04:10 PM

If the photo shoot is the worst thing you have to put up with, then you're lucky. I have to tolerate a marauding yellow thing with wings! It scares me. I'm going to go look at the birds out the window myself now. ;)

Squirl *distracted for a moment while thinking of how exciting it is to watch squirrels*

*salivates a little*

Ahem.

Squirl, yes, well, as they say, patience is a virtue.

Nudge, I have heard stories of that thing! Sharp beak, flapping wings! Inside the house! veeeeery skeeeery!

I'm sure Ern loves you best, though. How could she not? You are soft and cuddly. You know *whispering* I find that crouching under tables and chairs yields great protection from many dangers, including the beaks and wings.

Ya know, I think Girlie-girl is working a differnet tactic....she figures if she blocks up the heating vent (which she does quite well, btw), then the house will cool down and you will need to get out the blanket.

Girlie Girl, Trainwreck is onto you now.

Dang!

You reveal my tactics!

curses.

Hey!

What's this?

Girlie-girl, you are too smart for you own good. Seeeeee what happens when you go posting things on the internet for all to read?

Thanks to Trainwreck, now I know your secrets.
